PAM: Unlocking the Potential of Password Vault Alternatives

PAM: Unlocking the Potential of Password Vault Alternatives

April 28, 2020

Privileged Account and Session Management (PASM) tools, better known as password vaulting, are a type of Privileged Access Management (PAM) solution that restricts user access to IT systems and protects an organization’s data. While some organizations have implemented password vaulting technology to manage privilege, additional solutions that leverage other stronger access management strategies should be considered as an infrastructure becomes more complex.

This is where another type of PAM solution comes in—Privilege Elevation and Delegation Management (PEDM). Many organizations wonder whether PASM or PEDM is the best approach for their business. Both seek to reduce the risk of accidental breaches through access administration, but their approaches differ when it comes to accounts and passwords, privilege, and monitoring.

During this webinar, Ken Deschene, Technical Consultant, HelpSystems will examine the different approaches of PASM and PEDM, and explore how alternatives to password vaulting can contribute to a comprehensive security approach in your multi-vendor Linux or UNIX organization. This webinar will examine:

  • How PASM and PEDM differ in the way they protect privileged accounts
  • Why there are advantages to password vault alternatives for organizations today
  • How to leverage PEDM solutions as an alternative approach in your business

We look forward to having you join us on April 28!
