"CEOs of smaller companies are not immune. Paul Paget, CEO of Boston-based Core Security Technologies, a company that helps client companies attempt to hack into their own computers to test security, says he 'digests' criticism from employees but admits that it may not come off that way to others.
"He's the company quarterback, not unlike New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, trying to run the team down the field with no time for introspection and reviewing of film, Paget says. And his company doubled since 2004 to 115 employees.
"'You deflect a lot of things when you're in that mode,' Paget says."
