Core Security Technologies CEO to Take Part in Security Panel at 4th Annual MIT Sloan Software Symposium

Industry Veteran Paul Paget to Address Critical Security Issues Facing Organizations Today

BOSTON, MA: October 1, 2003 – Core Security Technologies, providing the first-to-market penetration testing software product for assessing specific information security risks, today announced that the company’s CEO, Paul Paget, will participate in a security panel at the 4th Annual MIT Sloan Software Symposium. The panel will be comprised of local CEOs from private, revenue-generating companies in the security market. Among the topics the group plans to address are: security related issues in today’s marketplace, how the use of security sets the stage for the next wave of commerce, the hurdles organizations must overcome to securely move their businesses forward and what it takes for a security company to be successful.

“Paul was chosen as a panel member based on his wealth of knowlegde and experience in the security arena,” said Robert Lonadier, panel moderator and President, RCL & Associates. “This panel is a must for anyone who wants to learn what it takes to get a software security firm up and running.”

Paget is a veteran of the information security industry. He has more than 20 years of high-tech experience with companies ranging from startups to the Fortune 50. Paget possesses a strong leadership background and a successful track record in guiding security software companies, including extensive experience managing global sales and service organizations.

“Opening up the network is now a given for many organizations to service their partners, customers and constituencies. Knowing how to apply security technology without stifling the growth in business or delivery of service is the primary challenge,” said Paget. “I believe this panel will discuss a range of topics, including how to provide opportunities for new players in the security market.”

The overall focus of this year's software symposium will be on the current state and coming trends in the software sector of the technology market. Speakers will provide insight into current and future direction of capital markets, software security infrastructure and its impact on business strategy, software buying trends in the technology industry and evolving legal, accounting and corporate governance issues affecting software companies.
