Inaugural Meeting Includes Global Security Leaders from Across Industries

First of a Series of Advisory Councils Company will Host

Boston, MA – June 14, 2012 - CORE Security®, a leading provider of predictive security intelligence solutions, today announced the completion of the company’s inaugural Strategic Advisory Council (SAC) meeting.   The CORE Security Strategic Advisory Council is composed of senior-level industry experts including executives from companies who leverage CORE’s solutions and services, recognized industry experts and influencers, strategic partners, members of the academic and legal community, and security  risk & policy consultants.

Council members have the opportunity to connect with peers in the security ecosystem, exchange ideas, and be an active participant in the development of CORE’s strategic direction. The meeting included presentations from Council members, other noted security experts, and a briefing on CORE’s strategic positioning from CEO, Mark Hatton.

The Council’s charter includes a combination of information exchange and future considerations specifically regarding regulatory and technology trends, compliance and legal expectations and other global initiatives.  The Council members share experiences and observations regarding today’s most pressing challenges and the future of IT security, including regulatory implications and economic issues, and explore opportunities to expand CORE’s business.

Council members included Dr. M. Eric Johnson; Center for Digital Strategy and Science of Administration, Dartmouth College/Tuck School for Business Administration and  Zach Tudor; Program Director, SRI International, Computer Science Laboratory, among others.

“We’ve had a great couple days of rich interaction at the SAC kick-off event.  The Council is a great forum for exchanging ideas, getting advice and counsel and sharing discussions on the next big trends in the industry—like applied predictive intelligence for IT and organizational security,” said Mark Hatton, president, CEO, CORE Security.  “Another take away from the discussion is the ever-increasing need for the security leaders of companies and government agencies to raise their security and risk assessment requirements to the executive suite and Board of Director level.   The observations and discussions from our meeting will help advance the strategic direction for CORE, and I look forward to the continuation of these discussions.”
